Crispy

Crispy is the mystical heartbeat of Sortilège. A former downhill addict from the Swiss peaks and a concrete-slam survivor with a chipped tooth to prove it, he’s the soul of the brand. After "borrowing" a wizard’s hat from a crystal cave, he transmuted his heavy board into the first magical fingerboard.

As our resident master marmot, Crispy puts his legendary teeth to work, gnawing through logs to source the raw timber for every board we create.

Mike’s journey didn't start in a pro park...

it started 20 years ago on a rainy afternoon. Forced inside and desperate to skate, a young Mike scavenged his toy box. With a bit of cardboard and some salvaged plastic wheels, he engineered his first "fingerboard."

The obsession took hold. When he discovered that fingerboard toys actually existed, he spent hours with the kind of relentless focus only a kid possesses, convincing his grandmother,

(his only supporter at the time) to buy him one. Once he felt that first real snap of the wood, he never looked back.

The Trial by Fire: Fast Fingers

After years of training in the shadows of his bedroom, Mike decided it was time to step into the light. He built a "pro" setup, packed his bags, and hit the road with Joana aka Gunter (his wife, ultimate road companion and also known as the loyal Iceking servant).

Their destination? Fast Fingers, the World Championship !

Mike arrived with eyes full of stars, finally seeing the world he’d only watched through a screen. But the fairy tale had a rough start. After the first run, the verdict was in: Eliminated.

The Birth of Sortilège

Disappointment didn't break him, it fueled him. He obsessed over the physics of his failure. Was it the pop? The flick? The concave? He spent weeks calculating angles, sketching shapes, and drawing on his artistic background to bridge the gap between "toy" and "precision tool." He needed a deck that felt natural, handled "competition sweat," and mastered technical maneuvers.

When he finally pressed his own unique shape, he knew he had found magic. He shared his prototypes with other riders, and the feedback was instant: "Give us more."
